A delicacy rooted in South Indian temple folklore, Adhirasams are a offering to the gods at temples and homes during auspicious occasions. According to inscriptions from Krishnadevaraya’s time, the sweet was made from rice flour, jaggery, butter and pepper. At the annual festival at the Panchavarnesvar Temple in Nallur (located near Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu), an offering of 6000 Adhirasams is made to the Gods; the entire lot is cooked in the temple kitchen between sunrise and 11 pm, for the prayers that take place at midnight.

Fast delivery, great packaging, and unbeatable taste. The Adhirasam tasted authentic, not overly oily like some I tried before. It was a hit with my family here in Dublin, even those who never had it before loved it. A real treat delivered right to our doorstep.

I ordered Adhirasam for the first time and was very impressed. The sweets were still fresh after international shipping, and delivery was super quick – just 3 days! The flavor took me back to childhood temple prasadam in Tamil Nadu. Thank you Indian Sweets Express for the authentic taste.

Being away from India, I truly miss festive sweets. I ordered Adhirasam from Indian Sweets Express and to my surprise, it reached within 3 days! The texture was soft inside and slightly crisp outside – exactly how my grandmother used to make. Will definitely reorder for every festival.

I ordered Adhirasam for my parents here in the US and was amazed at how quickly it arrived — just 3 days from India! The sweets were so soft, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. Tasted just like the ones we used to get back home during Diwali. Thank you for keeping traditions alive!
